The Independence of the Seas from Royal Caribbean is one of the biggest, fastest and most luxurious passenger vessels in service today. It is served by an international crew of 1,440 on 15 decks. With a gross tonnage of 154,407 and 4 bow thrusters, it can truly be said that the rock-themed benefit voyage will be a “heavy” experience. The ship, nearly a quarter of a mile long, cruises at 21.6 knots and this time around we are scheduled for a port stop in George Town, Grand Cayman. Oh yeah!

What Passengers Think

I cannot express how much fun this cruise is. I was skeptical at first, but since my all time favorite artist, Todd Rundgren, was added we went ahead and booked. From here on out we don’t even care who’s added to the bill, we are going. We’ve actually talked some friends into joining us next year. The best people and the bands are crazy fun! Can’t wait til next year!!

Donna, best time Donna, best time

We’ve been on cruises before, but this one was so different and so much fun! Leave your dressy clothes at home. Pack your concert T-shirts and you’re good to go. The music is top notch and yes they still sound great!! I feel like it was a once in a lifetime experience (unless I go again).
